Edward Eugene Sweat

Mr. Edward Eugene Sweat, age 80, of Jacksonville, Fla. died Friday, December 31, 2010. He was a native of Sanderson, Fl and had resided in Jacksonville, Fla. for 65 years. He was the son of the late Lonnie F. Sweat, Sr. and Cecilia Raulerson Sweat. He was employed as an accountant with Strachan Shipping Company, Jacksonville, Fla. for over 30 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Melanie Sweat of Jacksonville, Fla.; One son, Dana Sweat of Tallahassee, Fla.; Two sisters, Doris Spaulding of Jacksonville, Fla. and Bertie Everett of Orange Park, Fla.; One brother, William C. Sweat of Madison, Fla.; Two grandchildren, Ryan T. Sweat and Heather Rene Sweat both of Tallahassee, Fla.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 4, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cox, Associate Pastor of the Taylor Church, Taylor, Fla., officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, Fla. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 P.M. Tuesday (One hour before service) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Fla.
