Edwin Doyle Graham

Edwin Doyle Graham 90 of Lake City, Florida passed away peacefully April 4, 2025. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his beloved wife, Margarette Ernesteen Graham; his parents, Clemon and Loca Belle Graham; his brother, Hargaret Graham; sister, Camilee Coates; and his children, Melissa Freeman and Eddie Graham. Edwin is survived by his daughters, Melonie Daniel and Kimberly Williams (John); grandchildren, Stacey Morris (Jimmy), Brandi Walls (Joe), Justin Freeman (Shea), Ashley Ravenscroft (Scott), and Matthew Daniel, as well as many great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Edwin worked for Florida Power and Light in Palatka, Florida until retirement. Following his retirement he moved to Lake City, Florida where he became a deputy sheriff for Columbia County in Florida. His time in law enforcement was a source of immense pride and purpose that he would often fondly reminisce. Later in life, Edwin raised cattle and crops including sugar cane from which he made cane syrup. He cherished nothing more than gathering with friends and family at his annual cane grindings, where he was known for his famously delicious spicy chicken and rice. To those who knew him, Edwin was an honest, straight-shooting man who loved fiercely, led confidently, and always provided for his family. He aspired to be the husband, father, and grandfather that God called him to be. Though he could be stubborn and tough as nails, he was equally known for his tender heart—often moved to crocodile tears at weddings, goodbyes, or other meaningful moments. One of the most vivid and enduring images his family will carry is that of Edwin and Ernesteen standing side by side in front of their home, smiling and waving as loved ones arrived or pulled away. It is this same image we now hold in our hearts—of them reunited in Heaven, smiling and waving, waiting to greet us once more. Until that day, we will strive to honor their legacy, live with the strength and love they showed us, and make them proud. We love them both beyond life—and forever more. The funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Graham will be held at 12:00pm, Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Philippi Baptist Church, County Road 18, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 11am-12pm, one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall for a meal and a time of fellowship. Guerry Funeral Home of Lake City is honored to serve the Graham family.
