Mrs. Elizabeth Mary Kirkman, age 84, of Lake City, Florida passed away on Saturday, Feb. 15, in the HCA Lake City Hospital, Lake City, Florida. Mrs. Kirkman was born in Cairo, Georgia and resided in Lake City for over 70 years. She was employed as a school bus driver with the Columbia County School Board for over thirty years. She was a member of the Welcome Congregational Holiness Church and helped her husband, the late David W. Kirkman, co-pastor the church and take care of her many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor David W. Kirkman and her mother, Mary Lucas Watts. She is survived by three sons, Scotty (Lisa) Kirkman, Mike (Evelyn) Kirkman and Darryl Kirkman all of Lake City, Florida; three sisters, Joanne Goodson of Crawfordville, Florida and Winell Payne of Baton Rouge, La. and Faye Crosby of Thomasville, Georgia; two brothers, Randall Watts of Lake City, Florida and W.L. (Judy) Carter of Ochlocknee, Georgia and seven grandchildren, Mikey Kirkman, Raymond Bingel, Michael Bingel, Brandon Bingel, Michael Kirkman, Eric Kirkman and Kyle Noegel; 13 great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Kirkman will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, Feb. 20, in the Welcome Congregational Holiness Church, County Road 240, with Pastor Lance Crews officiating. Interment will be in Williams Cemetery, Lake City, Florida. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 P.M. (One hour before services at the church). GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W.
