Mr. Ellis Arnold Rogers, age 73, of Lake City, Florida died Tuesday, Jan. 19,  in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. He was born in Wellborn, Florida and had resided in Lake City, Florida most of life. He was the owner of Arnold Rogers Fiat Auto Service in Lake City for many years and most recently worked as an auto inspector with Rountree-Moore Ford, Lake City, Florida before his retirement.  He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed saltwater fishing.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Raymond Rogers,  Walter Rogers, Bobby Rogers and Lillian Rogers.  He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Betty Jo Rogers of Lake City, Florida:  His daughter,  Rhonda (Donnie)  Lewis of Jennings, Florida: His son, Ronald Rogers of Lake City, Florida: Two step-children, Eugene (Dorothy) Moore and Meschel (Jim) Westerfield both of Lake City, Florida: One sister, Mary Bell (Bill) Houston of Valdosta, Florida:  Sister-in-law, Marie Rogers of Lake City, Florida:  Ten grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.  A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Rogers will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, Jan. 23, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Rodriguez, Associate Pastor of Hopeful Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery, Columbia County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday, Jan. 22, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., U.S. 41 South, Lake City, Florida. www.guerryfuneralhome.net
