Mrs. Emilia “Millie” Stafford
Mrs. Emilia “Millie” Stafford, age 91, of Sanderson, Fla. died Sunday, Dec. 19, at her residence following a brief illness. She was a cheerful, friendly and helpful lady who had traveled the world. She was born in Maresago, Italy and in June 1954 she marred her late husband, Julian E. Stafford, a U.S. serviceman. She traveled to Austria, Italy, Africa and Germany and then returned to the United States in 1957, first in Alabama and then to Sanderson, Fla. She worked in the Laundry department of the Northeast Fla. State Hospital for many years. She loved to cook, sew and work in her yard. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Macclenny, Fla. and a member of the Baker County Council on Aging. She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Vera Stafford of Sanderson, Fla. and Leona Heath of Arkansas: Also numerous nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M., Thursday, Dec. 23, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Father Jose Maniyangat, Priest of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be in South Prong Cemetery, Sanderson, Fla. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, Dec. 22, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME. U.S. 90 East. Macclenny, Fla.
