Eric Joseph Harrison

Mr. Eric Joseph Harrison, age 46, of Macclenny, Florida passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, in the Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital, Macclenny, Florida following an extended illness.  Mr. Harrison was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky and had resided in St. Augustine and Jacksonville before moving to Macclenny, Florida 14 years ago. He was a partner at Cecil's Hometown Cooking from 2016 to 2018 and was formerly employed as head waiter with River City Brewing Company, Jacksonville, Florida and most recently worked in home health services in the Macclenny, Florida area. He also worked as a wedding planner. He was a graduate of St. Augustine High School Class of 1993 and was a member of the Winterguard Color Guard at the high school. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Marie McHone Harrison. He is survived by his father, Scott T. Harrison of St. Augustine, Florida: his life partner, Cecil H. Rhoden, Jr. of Macclenny, Florida: an estranged older brother and another brother, John (Becky) Harrison of St. Augustine, Florida: four nieces, Ryann Parker, Whitney Correa, Emilie Harrison and Gracie Harrison: three nephews, Kenneth Cox, Jr., Kevin Cox and Jonathan Harrison, Jr.: his beloved pet companion, Harli. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Harrison will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, Aug. 13, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Don Thompson, Jr., Pastor of the Lake Wood United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P. M. Thursday, Aug. 12, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida.
