Mrs. Ethel Mae McCorkle, age 87, of Macclenny, Fla. died Wednesday, March 6, in the Baptist Medical center, Jacksonville, Fla. following a sudden illness. She was born in Savannah, GA and live in Jacksonville, Fla. before moving to Macclenny, Fla. in 1987. She worked as a elephone operator for numerous retail companies for many years. She was of the Baptist faith and very proficient key-board player and loved model trains and lighthouses, enjoyed football and NASCAR activities.
She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Ann (Wayne) Hayes and DeVane F. Sheldon both of Macclenny, Fla.; one brother, Thomas B. Lamb of Butler, GA; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday, March 11, in Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, Fla. with family members reciting a personal eulogy. There will be no visitation.
