Etoile Odessa Stewart

January 16, 1926 — February 4, 2018

Mrs. Etoile Odessa Stewart, age 92, of Lake City, Florida died Sunday, Feb. 4, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness.  She was born in Gainesville, Florida and resided in Jacksonville, Florida before moving to Lake City, Florida in 1979. She was a homemaker and  member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and sewing in her spare time. She was preceded in death by her husband,  Jack Leon Stewart and her parents, Marquis and Catherine Fredricks Jackson. She is survived by her two daughters,  Cathy (D.C.) Berry and Helen Edmonds both of Lake City, Florida: One son, Mark (Sissie) Stewart of Live Oak, Florida: Nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Stewart will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, Feb.  8, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Thompson, Pastor of Pine Grove Baptist Church, officiating and assisted by Rev. Herman Hampton, Pastor of Southside Baptist Church. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Columbia County, Florida.  Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday (One hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
