Eugene Brown

Eugene Brown, 85, a resident of Lake City, Florida passed away March 5, 2012 at the Melech Hospice Facility, Tampa, Florida. Mr. Brown had resided in Lake City for the past forty-five years. He is preceded in death by his wife Bessie Brown and one granddaughter, Serena Mize. He was in the U.S. Navy serving during WW II and Korea, having received the Purple Heart Medal. He was a member of the Huntsville Baptist Church, Lake City, Florida. Survivors include four daughters: Ola (Winford) Moody, Adel, Ga, Linda (Ronnie) Johnson, Greenville, Ala., Patricia (Mike) Pittman, Tampa, Fl. and Sharon (Ronnie) Mize, Lake City, Fl. Six sons: Edward Brown, Andersonn, S.C., Richard (Sharon) Brown, Pace, Fl., Danny Ray Brown, Lake City, Fl., Percy (Debra) Brown, Lake City, Fl., Bobby Brown, Lake Butler, Fl. and Danny Eugene (Ashley) Brown, Lake City, Fl. Twenty-seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Eugene Brown will be conducted Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Steele, officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday March 8, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
