Eugene Dale Lesile

Mr. Eugene Dale Leslie, age 66, of Lake City, Florida passed away January 28 in Hospice at the V.A. Medical Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness.  He was born and raised in Madison, Florida. He worked for the City of Lake City, Florida for 33 years until his retirement in 2013. He was of the  Methodist faith and a Marine veteran.  Gene enjoyed many years helping coach baseball and he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching Florida Gator football games. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Jeanette Leslie and his sister, Jo Leslie. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Phyllis Hicks Leslie: Three sons, Justin Ferguson (Nichole), Brandon Leslie (Courtney) and Evan Leslie (Sylvi): Three grandchildren, Ryan, Althea and Liam. A memorial service to honor the life of Gene will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, in the Chapel of GUERRY FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Isadore Williams officiating.
