Evelyn Nipper

Mrs. Evelyn Nipper, age 85, of Taylor, Florida died Friday, Jan. 13, in the Macclenny Nursing and Rehab Center, Macclenny, Florida following a long illness.  She was born in Taylor, Florida to the late Lawton and Essie Rhoden Conner.  She resided in the Taylor community all of her life and was a homemaker and member of the Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church of Taylor, Florida. She enjoyed singing, her church and doing her yard work. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Nipper, Jr., brothers, Fred, Frank and Marcus Jean Conner and her sister, Ruby Raulerson.  She is survived by her daughter, Dale (Mikell) Bennett of Taylor, Florida:  Three brothers, Virgil Conner and Floyd Conner both of Taylor, Florida and Henry Conner of Moniac, Georgia:  her sisters, Susie Marsh ,  Gladys (Don) Hair and Patsy (Johnny) Groves all of Taylor, Florida and Nettie Ruth Anderson of Cross City, Florida:  Two grandchildren, Dude (Kathie) Bennett and Mandy (Craig) Jones: Seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.  A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Nipper will be held at 12 P.M. (Noon) Monday, Jan. 16, in The Taylor Church with Rev. Randy Strickland of Folkston, Georgia officiating.  Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Taylor, Florida.  Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 11 to 12 P.M. Monday (One hour before services) at the church.  GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida is in charge of services.
