Francis Mattie Broom

Mrs. Frances Mattie Broom, age 92, of Wellborn, Florida died Monday, Dec. 14, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida following an extended illness. She was born in Sparta, Tennessee and lived in Titusville, Fla. before moving to Wellborn, Florida 52 years ago. She was a rancher and raised cattle on her farm for many years and enjoyed working in her flowers. She attended the Lake City Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edford Broom and her son, Stephen Broom and her parents, Hollis and Lucy Rascoe Moore. She is survived by her son Bennie A. Brown of Wellborn, Florida: Six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren also survive. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, Dec. 17, in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor T.J. Gifford of the Lake City Church of Christ officiating. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S. W.
