Francis Burnsed

Mr. Francis Adolphus Burnsed, age 65, of Glen St. Mary, FL passed away Thursday, August 5th in the Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay County, Middleburg, FL after a brief illness. Mr. Burnsed was born in Lake City, FL to the late Frank and Elna Yarbrough Burnsed. He lived in Raiford, FL before moving to Baker County, FL in 2007. Mr. Burnsed was employed by Union Correctional Institute for over 30 years until his retirement. He enjoyed farming, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Burnsed is survived by his loving wife, Shelia Burnsed: three daughters, Shawna Rene Burnsed of Jacksonville, FL, Christina Frances Buchner of High Springs, FL and Tiffany Vanassa Barringer of Lake Butler, FL: one step daughter, Angela Looney of Gainesville, FL: step brother, David Rewis of Sanderson, FL: sisters, Linda Lagle, Margaret Stone, Joyce Burnsed, and Debbie Vazquez. Four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Burnsed will be held at 10 A.M., Tuesday, August 10th in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Jim Cox officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 7 P.M., Monday, August 9th at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral services in Oak Grove Cemetery.
