Frank Lee Conner

Mr. Frank Lee Conner, age 77, of St. George, Ga. passed away on Sunday, Feb. 9, in the St. Vincents Medical Center Riverside, Jacksonville, Fla. following a long illness. Mr. Conner was born in St. George, Ga. and resided there and in Bryceville, Fla. all of life. He was employed as a concrete truck driver for Florida Rock Industries, Jacksonville, Fla. for over 25 years until his retirement in 1987. He attended New Life Baptist Church, St. George, Ga. and loved blue grass music and working on his 1974 Ford black pick-up truck and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dawson and Ethel Crews Conner and his late wife, Janie Maureen Conner and a brother, Gene Conner: He is survived by his four children, Vickie (Ace) Simpkins and Brenda (Jimmy) Harris both of Hilliard, Fla. and Ricky Conner and Lisa (Kenny) Pearce both of Bryceville, Fla.: Three sisters, Barbara Hicks of Hilliard, Fla., Bertha Taylor, of Jacksonville, Fla. and Martha Tipton of Macclenny, Fla.: One brother, Horace Conner of Taylor, Fla.: Grandchildren, Cregg Simpkins, Robert Simpkins, Mat (Megan) Pearce, Somer (Jon) Mayer, Megabby Harris, Christy Walls, Bradley (Kayla) Higginbotham, Brittany (Stephen) Nettles and Ricky Lee Conner, Jr.: fifteen great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, Feb. 13, in the New Life Baptist Church, St. George, Ga. with Rev. James Conner, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Emmus Cemetery, St. George, Ga. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday, Feb. 12 at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 east, Macclenny, Fla. www.guerryfuneralhome.net
