Freddie Scott Kent

Mr. Freddie Scott Kent, 56 of Lake City, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, July 9, 2014.  Mr. Kent was raised in Lake City and was a son to the late Paul and Thelma Kent.  He enjoyed working with wood and he enjoyed his profession as a carpenter.  Mr. Kent was of the Baptist faith and attended the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Lake City.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Kent and one grandson.

Survivors include four sons, Scott Kent (Caroline Simpson), Lake City and Gregory Scott Kent, Loyd Stacy III and Jerry Stacy both of Lake City; two daughters, Sherry Cherisse Kent, Lake City and Crystal Lynn Clary (Josh), Lake City; two sisters, Paulette MacDonald and Harlene Brown (Larry) all of Lake City; his close friend, Diana Byrd, Lake City; best friend, Jim Davis,Lake City; and ten grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Kent will be conducted on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at the Wellborn Cemetery in Wellborn, FL.  Visitation with the family will be Sunday afternoon from 3-5:00 PM at the funeral home.  Arrangements are under the direction of GUERRY Funeral Home, Lake City.  Please sign the guestbook at www.guerryfuneralhome.net .
