Gary D Nix

Mr. Gary Dean Nix, Sr., age 64 of Macclenny, Florida died  Monday, July 10, in the Haven Hospice Custead Care Center, Orange Park, Florida following a long illness.  Mr. Nix was born in Lake City, Florida and lived in Keystone Heights and  Middleburg, Florida before moving to Macclenny, Florida  four years ago.  He worked as a diesel mechanic with the Clay County School Board for 18 years until ill health forced his retirement.  He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR racing.  He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce I. Nix of Macclenny, Florida: His daughter, Georgia (Richard) Knapp of Crestview, Florida: His son, Gary D. (Audra) Nix, Jr. of Melrose, Florida:  Two brothers, Ronald Wayland Nix of Jacksonville, Florida and Anthony Brett Nix of Middelburg, Florida:  Five grandchildren, Kymberlee, Devon, Kiera, Mark, and Alexandria.
