Gerald Carter Vannienwenhove

Mr. Gerald Carter Vannienwenhove, age 46, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL passed away Tuesday, August 30 at his home. Mr. Vannienwenhove had lived in the Miami area for the last 18 years but previously had lived in Jacksonville , FL and in the Washington D.C. area. Mr. Vannienwenhove served in the United States Air Force for six years and was very proud to have served his country. He worked in the medical field for 20 years as a MRI technician and also worked as a medical equipment consultant. He was an avid gun collector, enjoyed target shooting , and paint ball. Mr. Vannienwenhove loved to cook for his loved ones along side Frank Munn, and loved the Miami Dolphins. He also enjoyed golfing, playing the guitar and scuba diving. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Franklin A. and Edra Lou Carter. Mr. Vannienwenhove is survived by his three children, Chelsea Nicole Vannienwenhove of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Coral Vannienwenhove of Arizona and Chloe Vannienwenhove of Lake City, FL: his mother, Doneita (John) Grimm of Macclenny, FL: his father, Gerald (Deborah) Vannienwenhove of The Villages, FL: grandparents, Gerard and Lucienne Vannienwenhove of The Villages, FL: two sisters, Jennifer (Frank) Munn of Macclenny, FL and Jenine Oliver of Lafayette, GA: two grandchildren, Kaelynn McKenzie Troyer and Beau Gavin Woods. Numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Vannienwenhove will be held on Tuesday, September 6 at 11 A.M. in Raiford Road Church, with Rev. Eddie Griffis officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before services). Final disposition will be by cremation.
