Gerri Lanell Burnsed

Mrs. Gerri Lanell Burnsed, age 64, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 22. In the Acension St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospice, Jacksonville, Florida following an extended illness. Mrs. Burnsed was born in Lake City, Florida and lived most of her life in Glen St. Mary, Florida. She worked as a teacher of pre-school with Baymeadows Christian Academy, Jacksonville, Florida for the past six years. She enjoyed working in her yard and loved her family members, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Bonnie Jean Green Harrington and a granddaughter, Madisyn Nowlen. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Larry Burnsed of Glen St. Mary, Florida; her daughter, Christy (B.J.) Nowlen of Glen St. Mary, Florida; three sisters, Vivian (Gary) Cozatt of Raiford, Florida, Sharon Harrington of Macclenny, Florida and Carolyn (Rusty) Thompson of Glen St. Mary, Florida; one brother, Michael Harrington of Glen St. Mary, Florida; four grandchildren, Mason, Annabelle, Kyle and Mayce; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Burnsed will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, Aug. 25, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Broward of Baymeadows Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Swift Creek Cemetery, Union County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 9 to 11 A.M. Friday (Two hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida.
