Gladys "Pat" Estelle Douberly

Ms. Gladys “Pat” Estelle Douberly, age 84, of Lake City, Florida passed away on May 8, 2018 at Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City, Florida. She was born on March 27, 1934 in Providence, Florida to Marvin Anthony Douberly, Sr. and Darrie Mae Douglas. She relocated all around Florida before residing in Lake City 20 years ago. She worked in the Yellow Page division of Southern Bell for 30 years until her retirement.  In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the beach, spending time with her pets, and most of all, her family. She is preceded in death by both parents, Marvin Anthony Douberly, Sr. and Darrie Mae Douglas Douberly; her sister, Susan Witt; and brothers, Anthony Douberly and Kenneth E. Douberly.

Ms. Douberly is survived by her brothers, William “Bo” (Dorothy) Douberly of Trenton, Florida and Gary (Chrissy) Douberly of Keystone Heights, Florida; her sisters Janice (Wendell) Combs of Taylor, Florida and Linda Walker of Lake City, Florida. There are numerous beloved nieces and nephews who also survive.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Douberly will be held on Saturday, May 12 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home in Lake City, Florida. A visitation will be held two hours before the service on Saturday (11:00-1:00PM) at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Swift Creek Cemetery in Union County, FL.
