Gracie Lee Poitevint

July 17, 1932 — December 8, 2012

Mrs. Gracie Lee Poitevint, age 80, of Macclenny, Fla. died Saturday, Dec. 8, in the St. Vincents Medical Center, Jacksonville, Fla. following a brief illness. She was born in Bainbridge, Ga. and lived in Lake City, Macclenny, and Callahan, Fla. for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Henry Outler and Ruby Corine Yown Poitevint. She was a former business owner and ordained minister. She was a member of the Jacksonville Word of Faith Church.

She is preceeded in death by her siblings, Dallas and Monta Poitevint. She is survived by her daughter, Simone (James) Fouraker of Jacksonville, Fla.: Two sons, Gary (Hilda) Harrington of White Springs, Fla. and Rocky Harrington of Lake City, Fla.: One sister, Betty Boston of Lake City, Fla.: Two brothers, Edgar (Marion) Poitevint and Ben Poitevint both of Branford, Fla.: Six grandchildren and six great- grandchildren also survive.


Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Wednesday, Dec. 12, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Kasemann of Tampa, Fla. officiating. Interment will be at 1 P.M. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Lake City, Fla. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, Fla.
