Harold Lee Brillhart, 92, of Lake City, FL passed away peacefully Sunday, July 21, 2024. He was born on April 29 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Guy and Minnie Brillhart. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Corporal. He moved to Lake City in 1957 with his late wife, Joylee Brillhart.
In 1994 he retired from the Columbia County School Board where he worked as a carpenter. He loved carpentry so much that he continued during his retirement by making swings, gliders, and chairs to sell. For the first 10 years after retirement, he and his wife also traveled the US.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Joylee, his parents, as well as his brother Klines and 2 sisters, Esther and Iola. He is survived by 2 sisters, Carol and Joyce, his children, Rebecca (J.D.) Robinson Carroll, Rachel (Bobby) Daniels, Ronnie Brillhart, Rose (Mark) Meadows, Ruth Dawson; 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Brillhart will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 27th, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, July 26th, in the Chapel of GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
