Mr. Henry Harris, age 70, of Glen St. Mary, Florida died Monday, Aug. 9, in the Ascension St. Vincent’s Hospital, Middleburg, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Harris was born in Raiford, Florida and lived in Sanderson, Florida before moving to Glen St. Mary, Florida 27 years ago. He worked for Register Dairy in Sanderson, Florida and most recently worked as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic with Tim-Prep Construction Company of Maxville, Florida for over 15 years. He was a member of the Sanderson Christian Revival Center, Sanderson, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Evelyn M. Thomas Harris. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Martha A. Harris of Glen St. Mary, Florida: one daughter, Tessie Harris of Glen St. Mary, Florida: Two sons, Michael (Jodijo) Harris of Macclenny, Florida and Jeremy (Amy) Thatcher of Jacksonville, Florida: one sister, Betty Harris of Raiford, Florida: four brothers, Jimmy Harris of Gainesville, Florida, Johnny Harris, Ronnie Harris and Donnie Harris all of Raiford, Florida: eight grandchildren, Desiree Harris, Amber Thatcher, Dylan Pembelton, Riley Pembelton, Cody Thatcher, Hunter Lynn Pembelton, Chase Hunter and Brantley Hunter: one great-grandchild, Bella Brown also survives. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Harris will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, August 21, in Sanderson Christian Revival Center with Rev. Robert Eddie Luke, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in South Prong Cemetery, Baker County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, August 20th, at the church.
