Henry Joseph Pulka

Henry Joseph Pulka, of Macclenny, passed away at home with his loving family on Sunday, February 7th. He was born first generation American on November 19th, 1929, to his late parents. Henry was a World War 2 Veteran serving as military police in Vienna, served in the Korea Theater and also as a Merchant Marine.  He was a welder and fabricator by trade, but was also an artist, woodworker and built beautiful dulcimers. Mr. Henry was also a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and a charter member of the Heritage Park Museum. Henry is preceded in death by his wife Virgie V. Pulka, son in law Thomas F. Filosi, and great granddaughter Taylor R. Thornton. He leaves behind daughter Mariann T. Filosi of Macclenny, Fl; Four grandchildren, T. Ronnie Thornton, Troy M. Thornton, Melissa (David) Minacci and Thomas P. Filosi; Fourteen great grandchildren, M.T. Minacci, Logan (Dustin) Altman, Madison Minacci, Mason Filosi, McKenley Minacci, Hendrick Thornton, Avery Thornton, Grant Filosi and Jayden Filosi; and two great great grandchildren Raelynn Altman and Reyna Altman also survive. His final resting place will be beside his loving wife at Riverside Memorial Park at a later date.
