Hester Virginia Brant

Ms. Hester Virginia Brant, age 83 of Jacksonville, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Ms. Brant was born in Arnoldsburg, West Virginia to the late Wesley and Vina Mae Harris and came to Lake City from Douglasville, Georgia. She was a local resident for over twenty years before moving to Jacksonville two years ago to be closer to family. She was a member of Lake City Church of God and a former records clerk at the Lake City VA Medical Center. Ms. Brant enjoyed quilting and making jewelry. She is survived by her daughter: Janet R. Brant of Jacksonville; grandsons: Michael “Nanny” Taylor of Buford, Georgia and James Wishart of Jacksonville; brother Chester (Jessie) Harris of Tennessee; and sister: Ruth (Bere) Parsons of Canton, Ohio. A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00am, Monday, March 31, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Lake City with Reverend Dennis McMillan officiating.
