Hinson "H.C." Bracewell

Mr. Hinson Churman “H.C.” Bracewell, age 90, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Wednesday, September 30th in the UF Health Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL following complications related to an injury sustained while hunting in South Carolina. Mr. H.C. was born in Eddy, FL to the late Albert and Carrie Yonn Bracewell and was raised by his loving grandparents, C.H. and Bell Yonn. He grew up in Baxter, FL and moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1950 with his wife Karen Bracewell. Mr. H.C. was a truck driver most of his life and was a member of the Moniac Baptist Church, Moniac, GA. He was a member of the Indian Creek Hunting Club of S.C. and loved to spend time with his family. Mr. H.C. is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Karen Bracewell and his son Brian Bracewell. He is survived by four children, Michael S. (Cathy) Bracewell, Diane (Don) Wallace, Hinson K. (Janet) Bracewell, all of Jacksonville, FL and Sandra K. (Timmy) Canaday of Moniac, GA: one sister, Mary Lou Bowlan of Macclenny, FL: Nine grandchildren, Michele Knowles, Stephanie Smith, Karl Davis, Amanda Cornelius, Donald Wallace, Dana Warner, Keith Bracewell, Jeannie Carrasquillo and Joshua Canaday. Fifteen great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. H.C. (Paw Paw) will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, October 3rd in the Moniac Baptist Church, Moniac, GA with Pastor Matt Rouse, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, October 2nd in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, 420 E. Macclenny Ave., Macclenny, FL. Interment will immediately follow the funeral services in Canaday Cemetery, Moniac, GA. Guerry Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
