Mr. Hugh Pate Wilbanks, age 83, of Maxville, FL passed away Saturday, January 7 at his residence. Mr. Wilbanks was born in Lake Arthur, New Mexico and lived in Idalou, TX until 1954 when he moved to Maxville, FL. He worked as a handyman for Circle K Furniture Company, and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Wilbanks was also a founding member of the Maxville Volunteer Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Bradford and Rosa Lee Bennett Wilbanks, his late wife, Rosemary Wellhauseh Wilbanks, and four brothers, Bill, Tommy, Dan, and Joe Wilbanks. He is survived by two sons, William Frank Wilbanks (Linda) of Maxville, FL and Danny Joe Wilbanks (Tammie) of Macclenny, FL: one brother, Ed Wilbanks ( Evelyn) of Idalou, TX. Five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren also survive. There will be no services for Mr. Wilbanks. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
