Imogene Register

Mrs. Imogene Dopson Register, age 87, of Sanderson, FL made the journey home on October 8, 2022 with family by her side. Imogene was born November 18, 1934 to Leon and Ruby Dopson. She was united in marriage to Tommy Register for 63 years. Imogene’s favorite things in life were traveling with her son, Billy, cooking, growing fresh vegetables, shopping and sharing time with her family. Imogene worked many years in the photography and food service industry until retiring at age 77. She attended church at New Beginnings, Jacksonville, FL and Christian Fellowship Temple, Macclenny, FL. Imogene is preceded in passing by her parents, husband, brother, Ray Dopson, and son, Dr. Billy Register. She is survived by and will always hold a special place in the hearts of her nieces, Sylvia Sapp, Glenda Register, Phyllis Lewis, Rachel Combs, Brittany (Chris) Randle: nephews, Bobby Ray, Dwight and Aubrey Barton, Terrell Register and Brenton (Wendy) Barton. A host of family and friends along with her dog, Esther, also survive. Funeral services to honor Imogene’s life will be conducted at 11 A.M., Tuesday, October 11 in Christian Fellowship Temple with Pastor David Thomas and Pastor Timmy Thomas officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before services) at the church. Interment will follow the services in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, FL.
