Mrs. Inez Virginia Batten, age 89, of Macclenny, Florida died Monday, April 13, in the Acosta-Rau Center for Caring, Jacksonville, Florida following a long illness. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts and resided in New Smyrna Beach, Florida before moving to Macclenny, Florida five years ago. She worked as a landlord and real estate broker for many years. She is survived by her husband, Daniel I. Batten of Macclenny, Florida: Her son, David Strachan of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida: Two step-daughters, Denise (Mark) Young and Diane (Randy) Smith both of Macclenny, Florida: Two grandchildren, Joey Jackson and Kaine Jackson. A gathering and visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 P.M. Thursday, April 16, at GUERRY FUNERL HOME , U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida www.guerryfuneralhome.net
