Isabel Louise Vining

Mrs. Isabel Louise Johnson Vining, age 96, of Glen St. Mary, Florida fought the good fight, kept the faith, and finished her race on Saturday, Dec. 30, in the Frank Wells Nursing Home, Macclenny, Florida.  She was born in Macclenny, Florida and resided in Baker County, Florida most of her life.  Her work career included years as a bus driver with the Baker County School System, the dietary department of Northeast Florida State Hospital and as a fire tower operator with the U.S. Forest Service. She was a member of the Glen Baptist Church, Glen St. Mary, Florida where she served in many areas.  She enjoyed fishing, sewing and handcrafts and working for the Lord. She was preceded in  death by her husband,  Bee Vining and her father, Lewis Johnson and her mother, Edwenna Corbett Johnson Albritton and her step-father, Lawrence Albritton.

She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn (Ralph) Norris of Lake City, Florida, Bettie (Wayne) Yarborough of Glen St. Mary, Florida and Laura (Larry) Finley of St. George, Georgia:  Two sons,  D.L. (Cathy) Vining of Starke, Florida and Carlton (Sandra) Vining of Chiefland, Florida:  Three brothers, Tommy Albritton of High Springs, Florida, Joneth Albrittion of Seattle,  Washington and Harry Albritton of Lake City, Florida:  18 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren also survive.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Vining will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday,  Jan. 3, in the Glen Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Andrews officiating and assisted by Rev. Larry Finley and Mr. David Dinkins. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Florida .  Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 2, at the church.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering, Glen Baptist Church, 9846 George Taber Blvd., Glen St. Mary, Florida 32040.
