James Larry Craft, Sr.

Mr. James Larry Craft, Sr., age 81, of Macclenny, Florida died Monday, Feb. 23, at his residence following a sudden illness. He was a native of Newton, Georgia and resided in Jacksonville Beach, Florida before moving to Macclenny, Florida in 2005. He worked as a physical security specialist with federal law enforcement in the Federal Building, U.S. Civil Service, Jacksonville, Fla. and in Macon, Georgia for 30 years. He served his country for 10 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a member the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves for 20 years.  He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anderson Watson and Lillie McLendon Craft, two children Joe A. Craft and Lorie Jo Marvich and two siblings, A.E. Craft and Joyce Regian. He is survived by his wife, Donna M. Craft of Macclenny, Florida: His daughter, Cathy Conrad of Ellijay, Georgia: Three sons, James L. (Mary) Craft and Jim (Toni) Fraley both of Jacksonville, Florida and John L. (Robin) Fraley of Jacksonville Beach, Florida: Three sisters, Sandra Sudderth of Leary, Ga., Dale Mock of Blakeley, Ga. And Carol Tufly of Wichita, Kansas: One brother, Darryl Craft of Redlands, Ca.: Eleven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive. Graveside military services will be conducted at 9:30 A.M. Friday, Feb. 27, in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Fla. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M.
