James Edward “Jimmy” Cheshire

Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Cheshire, age 92, of Fort White, Florida passed away on Thursday, Jan. 4, in the V.A. Medical Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. Mr.Cheshire had resided in White Springs, Florida most of his life before moving to Fort White, Florida eight years ago. He worked as a heavy equipment operator with Occidental Chemical Company in White Springs for over 30 years until his retirement. His favorite hobbies include hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Mae Cheshire and his parents, Jim and Lizzie Kemp Cheshire.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa B. (Rocky) Ford of Fort White, Florida; his three sons, Don (Cindy) Cheshire and Darrell Cheshire both of White Springs, Fla. and Timmie (Susan-Tiny) Cheshire of Lake City, Florida; Thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Cheshire will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, Jan. 8, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Timmie Cheshire (his son) officiating.Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, White Springs, Florida. A gathering and visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
