James Kevin “Kebo” Crews passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, at his home in Macclenny, FL following an extended illness. Kevin was born on August 2, 1960, to James Buster and Sharon Crews in Jacksonville, FL. Upon graduation from high school in 1978 he joined the United States Air Force as a Fuel Specialist and was stationed in Wichita, KS until moving back to Macclenny, FL in 1982. He is preceded by his Father, James B. Crews and Father-in-Law Anglis Davis. He is survived by his wife Nancy Crews, Mother,Sharon Crews, Mother-in-Law, Jacquelyn Davis, brothers, Scott (Tia) Crews, Robbie (Tina) Davis, Timmy Davis, daughters Kambrell (Timmy)Richardson, Jessica (Timothy) Colvin, Sons, James Matthew Crews, Lukas Floyd Crews (Morgan). Grandchildren Tyler Richardson, Emma Richardson, Christian Colvin, Tyson Richardson, Jacob Crews, Loving cats Grey Mama and Grey Girl as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
After moving back to Baker County, FL he was employed with David J. Joseph, Co and then moved onto JEA for the remainder of his working career as a heavy equipment operator. Outside of work he spent time with his family and friends. He loved supporting and cheering on his children and grandchildren at sporting events and anything they did. He loved watching football, Nascar, golf, and especially the news. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing with his sons.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Crews will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Mr. Drew Colvin, son-in-law, conducting the eulogy. Final disposition will be by cremation. Visitation and gathering with the family will be 2 to 3 P.M. Wednesday (one hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida.
