James "Jim" Millard Smith, Jr.

Mr. James “Jim” Millard Smith, Jr. age 67, of Macclenny, Fla. died  Sunday, April 13, at his residence following a long illness.  He was born in Waycross, Georgia and resided in Hilliard,  Fla. and St. George, Ga. before moving to Macclenny,  Fla. in 1977. He  worked as a real estate salesman and appraiser with Jim Smith Realty , Macclenny, Fla. for over 20 years until his retirement.  He was a graduate of Hilliard High School and Lake City Community College and was a writer of short stories and enjoyed traveling.  He was preceded in death by his parents,  James Millard and Dorothy Estella Louada  Norman Smith.  He is survived by  his two sisters,  Joandra Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla. and Linda Moody of Skowhegan, Maine. Many nieces and nephews and friends survive.  Funeral services will be conducted at  2  P. M.  Friday, April  18, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, Fla. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 P.M. Friday (One hour before service).  Interment will be in St. George Cemetery, St. George, Ga.  GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Fla. is in charge of arrangements.
