Janice Marcine Monds

Ms. Janice Marcine Monds, age 74, of Macclenny, Florida died Thursday, Sept. 22, at her residence following a long illness. She was born in High Springs, Florida and had resided in Macclenny, Florida for the past 70 years. She worked at Northeast Florida State Hospital, Macclenny, Florida for over 30 years and retired as a rehab therapist in 1987. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, going to goodwill stores and collecting carnival glass. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Arie and Clarice Sapp Monds, three brothers, James, Stanley and Wayne Monds, one sister, Beverly Conto and one grandson, Ricky Rhoden. She is survived by her three children, Robin Dupree of Jacksonville, Florida, Rhonda (Ken) Spencer of Macclenny, Florida and Mark (Kim) Rhoden of Maxville, Florida: four siblings, Bonnie Faye Jankowski of Glen St. Mary, Florida, Voncille Crawford of Moniac, Georgia, Eston Monds and Denny Monds both of Glen St. Mary, Florida: Seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Monds will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, Sept. 26, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Thomas, Pastor of Christian Fellowship Temple, officiating. Interment will be in South Prong Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M.
