Jean Ellen Lorton

Jean Ellen Lorton 87 of Lake City, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at her residence. Mrs Lorton was born to Ottis and Wilcie Jones in 1928. She has been a resident of Lake City for the past 22 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur Lorton who died in 1994. She enjoyed sewing, shopping at Thrift stores and politics but most of all just being with her family.
She is survived by her son James Lorton of Lake City, FL. brother Dale Jones of NC. Grandchildren, Cornelius (Corky) Lorton, James Lorton jr and Beatrice B. Lorton all of Lake City, FL and five great-grandchildren.
The family will gather to receive friends on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 10:00AM until 11:00 AM in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs Lorton will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
