Jerry Lee Dennison

Mr. Jerry Lee Dennison, age 83, of Glen St. Mary, Florida died suddenly on Thursday, October 19th. He was born in Newbern, Tennessee, to a large farming family. Jerry was the son of the late J.P. and Annie Lou Dennison and was the eldest of 12 children. He resided in Jacksonville, Florida before moving to Glen St. Mary, Florida in 2002. Jerry loved people and was passionate about his family. He found great inspiration in those relationships. His children and grandchildren were a source of pride as well as providing unending material for his stories. His art of storytelling was a gift which brought great joy and laughter to those blessed to be within earshot. He was often the center of attention because of these animated tales, which appealed to young and old alike. In addition to his gift for storytelling, Jerry loved music. He often expressed his faith through song. Both his singing and his laughter will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. Jerry was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandparent. He is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine and his parents, J.P. and Annie Lou Dennison. Survivors include his siblings; Jimmy (Murl) Dennison, Faye Seboly, Kay Miller, Janet (Dave) Keedy, Paul (Susie) Dennison, David (Teresa) Dennison, Carolyn (Jimmy) Gregory, Patsy Whitworth, Wanda (Ronnie) Mott, Polly Dennison, and Mary (David) Milam. Four children: Denise Dennison, Phillip (Amy) Dennison, Sandra (David) Smith, and Mark Dennison. Six grandchildren: Brittany, Parker, Ashley, Grant, Amanda and Emily. One great-grandchild, Brinley also survives, along with scores of nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws. A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Dennison will be held on Sunday, November 5th, at 1 P.M. at Heritage Park Village, 102 South Lowder Street, Macclenny, Florida.
