Jimmy Gray

Jimmy Gray was born on February 4, 1933 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late William Mack and Creecy Boyette Gray.  Jimmy went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2015 at 7:15 pm surrounded by his loved ones at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.  When Jimmy was 19 he joined the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War.  After he was medically discharged he went on to work at the City of Jacksonville where he retired after 22 years. Jimmy was an amazing husband, father and Pop Pop who will be greatly missed.  He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Claudette Gray.  He also leaves behind his children Bobby F. Gray, Collis J. Gray, Creecy C. Mancil. Larry E. Mancil jr, Jacob A. Gray Jimmy A. Gray, Sheena M. Arnold, Janet M. Gray, J Adam Gray, Alisha M. Gray and Maggie L. Gray.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jayden M Matthews, Brendon T. Browning, Jaylon A. Gray, Tyce E. Mancil and Hudson A. Gray.

The viewing will be at 9:00 am and celebration of life service will be at 10:00 am on December 11, 2015 at Lantern Park Baptist Church in Lake City, Florida.  He will be laid to rest the same day at 12:00 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care of Guerry Funeral Home 2659 SW Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida www.guerryfuneralhomes@yahoo.com
