Mr. John Henry “PeeWee” Jordan, age 87, of Macclenny, FL passed away Wednesday, February 1st in the Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, FL following a brief illness. PeeWee was born in Jacksonville, FL and was a resident of Baker County, FL for the last 40 years. He had a passion for music, playing many instruments, singing and song writing. PeeWee enjoyed restoring classic cars, wood carving and tending to his garden. He worked as a welder for the City of Jacksonville for over 25 years until his retirement. PeeWee was preceded in death by his parents, John Earl and Dasielle Griggs Jordan, wife, Cheryl Elaine Jordan, and two grandsons, Zack Jordan and David Bowers. He is survived by two sons, Jeremy “Shane” Jordan (Maria) of Middleburg and John Earl Jordan of Jacksonville: two daughters, DeLynn Vollick of Macclenny, FL and Tammy Renee Jordan of St. Augustine, FL: two brothers, Clarence Jordan (Elaine) of Macclenny, FL and Walter Jordan of Jacksonville, FL: 11 grandchildren, Angel, Jessica, John Ray, Christopher Earl, Ethan, Nathan, Rachel, Jacob, Nathan, Andrew, and Parker. Ten great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Jordan will be held at 11 A.M., Tuesday, February 7th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before services).
