Mr. John Wayne Webber, age 55, of Lake City, Fla. passes away suddenly on May 9, 2012. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and cherished uncle, friend and brother. He was a very hard worker and proud of his family. He was employed as a correctional officer at the Suwannee County Correctional Institution for over 15 years. He was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, loved the Penn State football team and attended the Providence Village Baptist Church. He was born in Lebanon, Pa. and had resided in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. before moving to Lake City in 1990. He was preceded in death by his mother Caroline Haggerty Webber. He is survived by his wife Rosie Webber of Lake City, Fla.: His daughter Jennifer (Daniel) Courson of Orlando, Fla.: His son John Webber of Lake City, Fla.: His father Bobby Webber of Clinton, Tenn.: One granddaughter Kalia Courson: His siblings Donna (Harold) West of Bozeman, Mt., Danny (Cheri) Webber of Libertytownship, Ohio, Cora Webber and Lora Webber both of Ocala, Fla. and Bobby Webber of Las Vegas, Nv. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M., Tuesday, May 15, in the Providence Village Baptist Church with Rev. Dax Summerhill. Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 A.M. , Tuesday at his church, (One hour before service).
