Mr. Joseph “Joe” Wright, Jr. age 69, of Jacksonville, Florida died Wednesday, May 6, in the Shands University of Florida Jacksonville, Florida following a brief illness. He was born in Callahan, Florida and resided in Jacksonville, Florida for the past 20 years. He worked as a machine operator with PCA Box Company, Jacksonville, Florida for over 40 years until his retirement. He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War and enjoyed fishing with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Miriah Spatcher Wright, Sr. and his brother, Richard Wright. He is survived by his daughter, Pauline Raysor of Callahan, Florida: Three sons, Joseph Wright, III of Chicago, Illinois, Damien Wright of Callahan and Michael Wright of Jacksonville, Florida: One step-son, Craig Busbee of Callahan, Florida: three sisters, Rosa Maynard of Folkston, Ga., Johnnie Mae Killings of Callahan, Fla. and Debbie Wright of Jacksonville, Fla.: two brothers, Sammy Wright of Jacksonville, Fla. and Herbert Wright of Callahan, Fla.: Seven grandchildren also survive. A remembrance service to honor the life of Mr. Wright will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, May 15, in the Chapel of GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida with Rev. Betty Melton officiating.
