Joseph Clayton Wilks

Mr. Joseph Clayton “Joey” Wilks, age 34. of Lake City, Florida died Saturday, Jan. 31, in the  Shands at the University of Florida Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida following a brief illness.  He was born in Gainesville, Florida and lived all of his life in Lake City, Florida.  He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a laborer in the construction industry.  He loved fishing and hunting and spending time with his son.  He is survived by his   son, Jonathan Ray Wilks of Lake City, Florida:  Two daughters,  Brittany Larrison of Florida and Jaylynn Williamson of Lake City, Florida:  His parents, James and Barbara Wilks of Lake City, Florida:  Two sisters,  Andrea (Adam)  Paulk and Donna Kay (Joe) Sheldon both of Lake City, Florida:  One brother,  Michael (Jessica)  Wilks of Lake City, Florida.  Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted at  1 P.M. Tuesday, Feb. 3, in Memorial Cemetery, Lake City, Florida with his sister, Andrea Paulk  giving a eulogy.
