Mr. Joshua Keith “Josh” Tabares, age 34, of Lake City, Florida died Saturday, Dec. 24, in Lake City, Florida. He was born in Geneva, Alabama and had resided in Pensacola and Gainesville, Florida before moving to Lake City, Florida two years ago. He was employed as director of sales for Fairfield Inn of Lake City and worked part-time with Marion Street Deli & Pub, Lake City, Florida. He was a member of the Live Oak Church of God and enjoyed biking, hiking and all types of outdoor activities and was very interested in doing volunteer work in the Lake City community. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Lorraine Davis Tabares and his grandmother, Lelia Mae Suggs Davis. He is survived by his sister, Suzie (Joel) Watley of Lake City, Florida: his brother, Jose D. Tabares of Costa Rica: His legal guardians, Iris Skeen and Wayne Skeen both of Live Oak, Florida: Legal sister, LuWayna (Bryan) Davis of Lake City, Florida: His father, Daniel Toledo Tabares of the Philippines: His grandfather, Edward Davis of Pensacola, Florida: Two aunts, Cathy White of Live Oak, Florida and Renee Wilhoit of Pensacola, Florida: Two uncles, Eddie Suggs of Live Oak, Florida and Stanley Davis of Branford, Florida: One niece, Michaela Watley and one nephew, Zachary Watley both of Lake City, Florida also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Tabares will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, Jan. 3, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Rocky McKinley officiating and assisted by Rev. Greg Richie. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Tuesday (One hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W.
