Joye Folsom

Mrs. Joye Folsom, age 80, of Lake City, Fla. died Friday, June 21, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Fla. following an extended illness. She was born in Perry, Fla and had resided in Lake City since 1972. She was employed as a registered nurse at Meridian Behavioral Health Center, Lake City, Fla. for 27 years until her retirement in 1999. She was a member of the Salem Primitive Baptist Church, Columbia County, Fla. She is survived by her son, Charles E. "Chuck" Folsom of Jacksonville, Fla.: Her niece, Jean Taylor: Dear friends, Marilyn Hamm, Katherine Griffin and Betty Strayer. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, June 25, in the Salem Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Herman Griffin, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in Salem Cemetery, Columbia County, Fla. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 A.M. Tuesday (30 minutes prior to services) at the church.
