Kathrine Pryde

Mrs. Kathrine Myrie Pryde, age 80, of Macclenny, FL passed away Saturday, March 19 in the St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Pryde was born in Macclenny, FL and was a lifelong resident of Baker County. She worked as a healthcare professional at NEFSH for 37 years and was the secretary for New Hope Church for over 30 years. Mrs. Pryde was a tender but powerful woman who devoted her love and life to her church and family. She enjoyed many crafts with crocheting being her favorite, very few family and friends did not have one of her creations. Her philanthropy was well known. She is preceded in death by her parents, Royiee and Thelma Johns Lauramore, and her late husband of 40 years, Charles Wesley Pryde, sister, Ruby Davis and a baby sister. Mrs. Pryde is survived by her son, Jason Pryde (Jennifer Talley) of Macclenny, FL: two brothers, Arthur Lee Lauramore (Mary) and J.C. Lauramore (Sandy) both of Macclenny, FL: two sisters, Eloise Davis and Kerrell Cox both of Macclenny, FL: two grandchildren, Damien Charles Pryde (Hannah Johnson) of Macclenny, FL and Xaviera Angelyne Barfuss (Brady) of Utah. Two great grandchildren, Atlas Charles Pryde and Claire Barfuss, also surviving. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Pryde will be held at 3 P.M., Wednesday, March 23rd in New Hope Church with Pastor J.C. Lauramore officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Tuesday, March 22nd at the church. Interment will follow the funeral services in Turner Cemetery.
