Ken Hohmann, 84, of Lake City, FL, former resident of Stephenson, MI, died peacefully at
home Jan. 26, 2021.
He was born May 19, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Henry and Helen (Paul) Hohmann. Ken attended
Chicago Vocational School where he earned All-City Honors playing football. After high
school, he enlisted in the Army. After his honorable discharge he married Jeanne (Karp) on
Oct 3, 1959. He then worked in the family Meister Bräu beer distributorship in Joliet, IL until
he moved his family to Stephenson, MI. in 1968. There, he and Jeanne owned and operated
the Home-n-Bar. He often worked a second job. He was a supervisor at YarCraft boats and
Menominee Box shop. Even with the demands of owning a business and working a second
job, he always found time to support his children’s activities and attending their many
sporting events. He was an avid fisherman who greatly enjoyed fishing with his family,
