Lenora Davis Geiger

Mrs. Lenora Davis Geiger, age 84, of  Lake City, Florida died Sunday, Dec. 6, at the home of her daughter in Fort White, Florida following a long illness. She was born in Sumter, Florida and moved to Lake City, Florida as a small child. She worked in aircraft maintenance for many years and then worked as a realtor with Century 21, Jackie Taylor & Associates. Mrs. Geiger later opened Little One’s Day Care Center, Lake City, Florida which she operated until her retirement. She was a member of the Deep Creek Advent Christian Church and enjoyed gardening, taking care of her family and others she loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Geiger, Sr., her parents, Frank J. and Mary Ingram Davis, her daughter, Prepa G. Lang, her son, John “Johnny” R. Geiger, Jr., grandson, Jason Lang and Vern Geiger, three sisters, Martha Jewell Davis, Mary F. Hall and Cathy Waters, one grandson, Jay’Lynn  Mobley. Mrs. Geiger is survived by two daughters,  Julie (Mike) Espenship of Fort White, Florida and Ila Williams of Ocala, Florida: one son, Mark Geiger of Lake City, Florida: one great nephew, Anthony Terry, she raised from a small child: 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren:  four brothers, Noah Davis, Sr., Russell Davis, Sr., Frank  J. Davis, Jr. and Rocky Davis: three sisters, Sally Bishop, Cynthia Whalen and Judy Overstreet: two special people in her life, Louise Goss and Gloria Davis. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Geiger will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday, Dec. 10, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Thomas, Pastor of Deep Creek Advent Christian Church, officiating and assisted by Rev. Earl Green, Jr. Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery, Columbia County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 12 to 1 P.M. (One hour before services). GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W.
