Linda Faye Harris

Ms. Linda Faye Harris passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the age of 77. Born in Lake City, Ms. Harris was the daughter of the late Ovie and Doris Burnsed Starling and was a lifelong resident. She was a delivery driver for the Lake City Reporter and the Lake City Advertiser and was also employed by the local Advocates for Citizens with Disabilities (CARC) as a custodian for some time. Ms. Harris enjoyed attending Tabernacle Baptist Church where she was a member. She also loved to go fishing and play cards. She is survived by her son: Marshall Ray (Desirea) Russ of Wellborn; daughter: Susan Russ (Rusty Price) of Lake City; sisters: JoAnn (John) Murray and Teresa Williams and brothers: Johnnie (Midge) Starling, Joseph (Donna) Starling, and Larry (Ruth) Starling, all of Lake City; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother and sister-in-law: Arthur and Debbie Starling.  Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, January 30, 2025, in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Norman officiating. Interment will follow the service at Memorial Cemetery, Lake City. The Harris family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
