Linda Marie Stephens

Linda Marie (Alderman) Stephens unexpectedly went to be with Jesus Sunday, August 16, 2020. Linda was born February 13, 1941, the 4th child of Ray and Ida Belle Alderman in Tampa, FL. Linda was married to John C. Stephens for over 50 years. Linda and John raised Tim, Jack and John H. in Mississippi, taught them to hunt, fish and live off the land. Linda and John relocated to Macclenny, Florida, in 1992. They quickly became ingrained in the community and church. Linda loved to travel and vacation with her friends but had a soft spot for travelling with her sisters, for the laughter. Linda is predeceased by John C. Stephens, husband of 50+ years. She leaves 3 sons, Timothy Ray (Joyce), of Milledgeville, GA, Jack D. (Suzanne), of Ludowici, GA ad John H. (Pam) of Arden, NC. She leaves one brother, Terry Alderman (Vaness), two sisters, Sandy (Isham) Houzer and Karen (Alan) Knight, and two grandchildren, Linda C. and Emily A. Stephens. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Stephens will be held at 3 P.M., Wednesday, August 19 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Alan Knight officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 3 P.M. (two hours before the service). Interment will be held at 2 P.M., Friday, August 21 in the McHenry Gardens Cemetery, McHenry, MS.
