Lois Chisholm

Mrs. Lois Chisholm, age 99, of Moniac, GA passed away at her home on Friday, February 25. Mrs. Chisholm was born in St. George, GA to the late Lewis and Pennie Wester Batten. She was a long time member of the Moniac Baptist Church and a previous Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Chisholm enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, many siblings and her late husband, Rev. George W. Chisholm. Mrs. Chisholm is survived by her son, Dr. George E. Chisholm, M.D. (Paula) of Jacksonville, FL and two grandchildren, Dr. Kirby Chisholm, M.D. of Columbus, GA and Dr. Avery Chisholm, M.D. of Charleston, SC. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Chisholm will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, March 2 in Canaday Cemetery with Pastor Matt Rouse of the Moniac Baptist Church officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10:30 to 11 A.M. at the cemetery.
