Lois Horton

Mrs. Lois Johnson (Spivey) Horton, 81, of Lake City, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday evening, August 26, 2024. She was born in Lake City, Florida March 4, 1943 to the late Madison Emanuel Johnson and Isabelle Box Johnson. Beloved by many, she married the love of her life Henry Harell Horton in 1975. Lois worked a variety of different jobs through the years, but she loved being a mother and grandmother most. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Eugene Pringle and James William Johnson; her sister Rose Marie Clayton; son John David Spivey; daughter-in-law Stacy M. Horton; and grandson Christian J. Shepard. She is survived by her sons and daughter: Randall T. Spivey (Teresa) of Georgia, George R. Spivey of Minnesota, Henry H. Horion, Jr. of Lake City, Gregory H. Horton (Tammy) and Regina D. Jones of Lake City. 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Horton will held at 12 P.M. Tuesday, Sept. 3, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Glover, Pastor of the New Life Christian Fellowship Church, officiating. Interment will be in Siloam Methodist Church Cemetery, Columbia County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 12 P.M (two hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Bivd., Lake City, Florida.
